Not all studies report the same figures, but some come strikingly close.
This includes a 2021 study in the journalAndrologiainvolving 4,685 men who were asked to measure their own penises.

Genetics and Penis Size
Genetics have the strongest influence on penis size.
Evidence suggests that penis size is determined by the X chromosome, which males inherit from their mothers.
As such, the flaccid penis length doesn’t directly correspond to how big a penis can get.
What Is an “Attractive” Penis Size?
What a person finds “attractive” in a penis is larger in the eye of the beholder.
For long-term partners, the preference was only slightly smaller at 6.3 inches.
What the researchers found was that users tend to assign personality traits to different penis sizes and types.
In contrast, people with shorter and narrower penises were more likely to be assigned negative traits likeneuroticism.
Can You Make a Penis Larger?
Surgery
The one approach that can help is a surgery called aninverted V-Y skin plasty.
Micropenis is generally diagnosed when the erect penis length is 3.67 inches (9.32 cm) or less.
It can also destabilize the penis and cause pain and discomfort during an erection.
There is no accurate way to predict penis size just by looking at someone.
