Causes
Fordyce spots are part of your natural anatomy.

These enlarged glands affect all genders and ages but are more commonly seen in males ages 1767.
They can also occur on thepenis, scrotum, and labia.
Fordyce spots are easier to see when the skin is stretched.
For example, penile Fordyce spots are more noticeable during an erection.
Treatment
Fordyce spots are harmless.
While they do not go away on their own, Fordyce spots don’t usually require treatment.
it’s possible for you to live with them without concerns.
Some people may seek treatment for aesthetic reasons or in rare instances where they cause discomfort.

Are Fordyce Spots Serious?
Fordyce spots themselves are not a cause for concern.
They are not harmful or contagious.
They are sebaceous glands that are not associated with hair follicles.
Fordyce spots are considered normal and usually do not cause symptoms.
Treatment is usually not necessary but may be sought for cosmetic purposes.
