What Is Plan B?
Plan B, or levonorgestrel, is a progesterone.
It is an emergency contraceptive thatworks by stopping ovulationand preventing sperm from fertilizing an egg.
It can also be taken at any time, with or without food.
If you are already pregnant, neither medication can end a pregnancy and should not be taken.
These are not abortion pills.
