The Brandt-Daroff exercises also can be a useful tool in the self-care program for vertigo.

Quickly Lie on One Side
Quickly lie down on one side.
It should only take one to two seconds to get into this position.

Be sure to keep your head at a 45-degree angle with the bed.
Getting into this position may bring on your symptoms.
Remain in this position for 30 seconds or until your symptoms subside.

Relax, breathe, and allow the symptoms to pass.
