But you will need to brush well to clear any buildup from the cracks.

You may also have other, smaller fissures on the side and front of the tongue.
Most people dont have any additional symptoms.
However, if you have fissures in your tongue you may need to pay extra attention tooral hygiene.
If your parent or family member has a fissured tongue, youre more likely to have one.
Good oral hygiene is essential to preventing complications.
This includes brushing the top surface of the tongue to remove any food caught in the grooves.
The condition is harmless and likely just a variation of normal tongue appearance.
