Federal health agencies are investigating anE.
colioutbreak linked to organic carrots supplied by Grimmway Farms of Bakersfield, California.
One person has died, and at least 39 people have become sick in the current multi-state outbreak.
Most of the cases were reported between Sept. 6 and Oct. 28.
Multiple brands of organic whole, bagged carrots and baby carrots by Grimmway Farms have been recalled.
These products should no longer be for sale in stores, but consumers should check their refrigerators or freezers.

While most people recover without complications, severe cases ofE.
Throw them away or take them back to the store for a refund.
