Peyronies disease(PD) is a condition that causes an abnormal curvature of the penis.
There are injections and other ways to treat PD, and little evidence thatpenis exercisesare completely effective.
An early diagnosis of Peyronies disease is imperative for the most effective treatment.

Can Exercises Help a Curved Penis?
Peyronie’s disease occurs most often in males between the ages of 40 and 60.
Erectile dysfunctionoften occurs with PD.
Phases of PD
There are two phases of PD: acute and chronic.
The acute phase comes up whenever plaque forms and curvature begins.
Your treatment will depend on the phase of PD.
Some exercises have been found to help with Peyronies disease.
A gentle stretching exercise of the sheath may help break down scar tissue and ease curvature issues as well.
Massaging the penis incorrectly can lead to further damage and worsening of Peyronies disease.
Talk to your healthcare provider before attempting massage as a form of treatment for Peyronies disease.
Stretching Exercises
Jelqingormilking, involve manually stretching or massaging the penis with the intent of causing micro-tears.
The idea is that as these micro-tears heal, the penis may appear longer or thicker.
However, despite its popularity, the practice is highly controversial, and medical experts generally consider it unsafe.
Although anecdotal reports exist, scientific evidence supporting the safety or effectiveness of jelqing is limited and inconclusive.
It is intended for daily use for a designated period of time.
The idea behind PTT is that it can gently apply pressure to help straighten the penis or reduce curvature.
PTTs role in the chronic phase of PD remains unclear.
Additionally, a 2020 study found PTT could lead to bruising, penile deformity, and other symptoms.
Complications of PTT are possible.
There is limited data available on the efficacy of PTT in treating Peyronies disease.
Its unclear whether it helps straighten the penis and reverses curvature, but the technique remains under study.
The VED will then stretch and pull the penis using suction.
The machine is used for men with erectile dysfunction and can also be used as a treatment for PD.
All 20 of the participants who used VED traction therapy showed a significant improvement in curvature.
While the study was small, its findings show that VEDs may be a promising treatment option.
Xiaflex works by breaking down the excess collagen causing penile curvature.
Verapamil and interferon injections are available treatments.
New treatments, such as stem cell therapy, continue to be developed.
Studies have found emotional difficulties in about 80% of those affected.
Your healthcare provider can talk about treatment and therapy resources.
In the acute phase, mild pain occurs as the curve and plaque formation and scarring begin.
The changes are well-established in the chronic phase of PD, in which ED also is common.
There are no definitive treatments for PD, which remains under study to better understand its causes.
They are typically used with other PD treatments, which may include medication, pumping devices, and surgery.
